Our mission at Three Pillars Acupuncture is for you to thrive, rather than survive…
Our Approach to Health and Wellbeing…
The Three Pillars of health include body, mind, and spirit. We are all a balance of these three elements; each of these three aspects interacts with and influences the others. Although we may primarily focus on one of these three aspects of your health during a treatment, we will address all three at least to some degree. We strongly believe in treating the whole person in body, mind, and spirit to help ensure a complete balance and integration of all of your body's systems. What is the point of fixing only one part of you if you are not healthy enough overall to maintain your improved health?
What else does Three Pillars represent?
Endurance, Vitality, and Perseverance:
The Three Pillars Acupuncture design features bamboo, plum, and pine trees. These are known in Chinese culture as the three friends of winter. In ancient China, these three trees were observed to thrive not only in good conditions, but also during winter and in other harsh environments. The three friends of winter are a symbol of endurance, vitality, and the ability to persevere in times of adversity. These characteristics are important when we work to repair and maintain good health.
Good Fortune, Prosperity, and Longevity:
The Three Pillars Acupuncture design also features three stars. These represent a group of three Chinese deities, or San Xing: Fu Xing, Lu Xing, and Shou Xing. These three immortals of Chinese culture represent good fortune, prosperity, and longevity. This is the goal of treatment - to return to a state of health that allows us to thrive, rather than survive. To enjoy a quality of life that includes not just good health, but good fortune, prosperity, and longevity.
We look forward to you becoming a part of the Three Pillars community and enjoying a better quality of life!
